Why The Fluorescent High Bay: For the past several years Fluorescent High Bays have become the standard for lighting small to large open spaces efficiently and adequately. The Fluorescent High Bay Fixture is also ideal for retrofitting Metal Halide and HPS fixtures to a more energy efficient, low maintenance solution.
T5HO or T8: T5HO is the more efficient of the two in regards to lumens/watt. T5HO will start in colder temps and is best for uncontrolled climates in high ceilings. A T5HO tube produces about 75% more light than a T8. T8 fixtures are best in controlled environments, and in lower ceiling applications.
